How do I check in GOL?

GOL Airlines provides several ways for passengers to proceed with check-in, which includes the official check-in through the website, by mobile app, at the airport, or by using the Kiosk Machine. GOL Airlines check-in timing 

The check-in time with the airline depends on how the passengers prefer to proceed with the check-in or whether they are traveling with or without baggage, domestically or internationally. All the details about the check-in are mentioned here for you as follows:

Domestic Flight

People who need to board their domestic flight can proceed to the GOL Airlines web check-in 48 hours before the flight departure. 

• In the case of the airport or self-service kiosk check-in, they can visit the airport 3 hours to 40 minutes before the flight departure. 
• If the passengers are traveling without any baggage, they can save the time of baggage security check and can visit the airport 30 minutes before departure. 
• The online or mobile check-in option is available 48 to 1.5 hours before departure. 

International Flight

The passengers traveling on an international flight with GOL can proceed for the online check-in 48 hours to 1 hour before the scheduled departure of your flight. 

• For self-kiosk and airport check-in, travelers must visit the airport 4 hours to 60 minutes before departure. 
• If you are traveling without baggage, you can proceed with the check-in 45 minutes before the flight departure. 
• The timing for mobile check-in will remain the same as web check-in. 

The online check-in time may differ from 10 to 15 minutes, as per the destination you are traveling to and the other factor concerning your reservation. For instance, if your reservation includes any international destination, you have to proceed with the check-in as per their check-in time. 

GOL Airlines phone check-in 

The process to proceed with the online check-in is the same as the online/web check-in process. The only difference is you need to download the GOl airline mobile app and the boarding pass once the check-in process is complete. 

GOL Airlines self-service kiosk check-in 

Travelers can proceed with the self-service check-in at the airport with the help of the Kiosk Machine. They must visit the airport at the usual check-in time, three to one hour before the flight departure. This is the easiest process; the machine will print your boarding pass. All you have to do is enter the booking code and agree to all the terms and conditions shown on the screen. However, you have to get onto the baggage line for the security check-in as there is no shortcut. 

The things required to proceed with the Kiosk check-in

• A 6-character confirmation number, or
• 13-digit eTicket number
• GOL Plus card, or 
• Credit card, or 
• Passport 

Besides the check-in process, the passengers can also proceed to:

• Print their boarding pass
• Proceed for the baggage check-in 
• Select the seat change or upgrade option
• Please stand by for a premium cabin seat (however, they need to be eligible under MileagePlus Premier member).
• You can add the MileagePlus number to your reservation 
• Find an alternate flight in case of cancellation or delay 
• You can also listen to the audio instructions in case of visual impairment

The travelers are not allowed to proceed with the kiosk check-in if:

• Your ticket was altered without full payment being received.
• You are an unaccompanied minor traveling alone.
• You have a paper ticket for your trip.

GOL check-in online

The process that needs to be followed by the passengers to proceed with the online check-in is mentioned and explained in detail below.

• Get onto the official website of GOL Airlines https://www.voegol.com.br. 
• Once you get onto the official website, look for the option of 'Check-in' at the top right corner of your home screen. 
• Once you get redirected to the check-in page, enter the booking reference code and your departing airport to proceed further.  
• You need to proceed further and follow the on-screen process to complete the check-in process. You can also select your preferred seat from the seat map. 
• However, you need to pay for the seat selection made by you if you choose the seat in your booking flight class. 
• Once the payment and the check-in process are complete, a confirmation will be sent to your email along with the boarding pass. 

The travelers can proceed with the check-in online even if they are traveling with baggage. However, they need to drop off their baggage in the drop-off area under the check-in time limit. 

Exceptions of GOL online check-in

Online check-in is prohibited by GOL Airlines' check-in policy if:

• The paper ticket you have
• You're taking a pet on vacation.
• A special service request to meet a GOL Airlines agent at the airport is included in your reservation.
• When booking Basic Economy, you should have mentioned that you would be checking a bag.  
• Your travel plans include more than four flights. 
• More than nine people are traveling on your reservation. 

GOL Airlines auto check-in 

The travelers can select the option o auto-check in when they proceed to make the reservation of their flight ticket. It will help them ease the process as the airline will do the automatic check-in for them 24 hours before the flight departure and provide them with the boarding pass on their email. However, they still need to get to the airport to drop off their baggage. They need to be at the airport, even after the auto-check, long before departure so that you can complete the baggage security check-in and get onto the boarding gate. 

GOL Airlines airport check-in 

This method can be tiring as you have to wait in a long queue to reach the airport check-in desk, provide the representative with your boarding pass number, and complete the check-in process to proceed to the boarding gate with your boarding pass.
